I'm pretty cool and calm actually, clinical almost.

THEN, when it's all on the road to resolution - is when it hits me.

Glad you're (basically) OK.

Uh yeah... blood? 😶
Sure... I'll bullshit and say it's all good.
I could use some training... but I watch medical shows, so I'm good. I think 🤔

I can handle seeing my own blood, but not someone else’s. I can respond in emergencies and then it hits me afterwards.

I'm sorry you got injured. I handle a crisis rather smoothly whether it involves physical injury or not. Sometimes it's the little things that bother me more than the big things.

Hope it wasn't anything too serious.

I'm good in stress situations, especially medical. Remain calm, solve the issue. No medical training other than CPR but been in hospitals and ERs (with other people) too much,

I spent the evening in the ER with my daughter. I was the first person her BF called when she was having a seizure because I remain calm.
(she was sent home for neuro follow-up out patient. CT and labs all normal. Fingers crossed)

Having been in pediatrics, OB GYN and maxillofacial I handle things pretty calmly. We had to have CPR and ER training every 2 months so the nurses had back up in an emergency.
I dont know what you did but keep that wound clean

When it happens to me, it's no big deal. In other people, it kinds of freaks me out, but if I am the only person around, I help out in whatever way I can.

Oh my god my friend I am so sorry to hear this, I hope all is well with you. And I am pretty calm in emergencies myself, having four kids you learn to be. I hope your Hump Day is a wonderful one..

Yikes! Hope everything is okay.

Most of the time I stay calm and deal with the situation, then have a total melt down later. About a year and a half ago I sliced a finger pretty good...it bled A LOT, and I got queasy. No one else to take care of it, so I had to deal with it. All I kept thinking was I wish my firefighter/EMT son was closer, lol.

I have been called on a couple times for emergency care.... I can say I am pretty level headed during the situation... but really get shaky after the event

Both of mine were not life and death... but relatively major injuries that required hospitalization

cuts and bruises don't faze me at all

I have been consistently Trained in first Aid and CPR since the age of 12

I hope you're ok now.

I'm pretty good in an emergency but collapse in bits when it's over. I can remember driving down the wrong side of the road in heavy traffic with my hazard lights on to get a very sick grandchild to hospital.....we were lucky and got him there in time but I was in no fit state to park properly....a security man had to do it for me!!!.

About 15 years ago I was working the midnight shift so that I would be home to take the kids to their, what ever they were involved in, events. My daughter decided to pry apart two frozen hamburgers with a knife. I suspect you can imagine where this story is going.

I was sleeping at the time and was awaken by a screaming child covered in blood. She had pulled the knife out of her hand. I grabbed my cell phone, a clean towel from the linen closet, wrapped her hand while I pressed speed dial for my father. He was in the kitchen by the time we got downstairs. He had his first aide pack and cleaned the wound, wrapped it with dressing and we went to the hospital. The Doctor wanted to know who the Doctor was who first looked at the wound... I told him Doctor Grampy... lol. She was very lucky, no damage. Five stitches on the palm side of her hand and two on the back side of her hand where the knife went completely through.

I am quick to action and panic after the fact.
